I can't believe I'm not following my own advice - and not regularly updating my blog and website, my Facebook and Twitter feeds...I've even been avoiding email. Nope, I'm not mad at anyone. Nope, not on a deadline. I've been dealing with a health issue (fibroid tumors in my uterus and anemia) which has left me wiped out. No energy. Bleh!
So what have I been doing? Making notes on the WIP, keeping my non-fiction deadlines (those took way more energy than I had every day!) and reading. A lot of reading! I've managed to stay up to date with my blog reading, did a bit of research for the Great Agent Hunt, made even more notes on the WIP...and read a little bit more.
I read the new Janet Evanovich (Sizzling Sixteen, another Stephanie Plum book). What did I think? Mweh. The Plum books are always good for a laugh, but when is Stephanie going to grow, even just a little bit? I'm tired of her being a scared-of-guns, inept bounty hunter in on-again, off-again relationships with 2 guys. Sixteen books is long enough for that character. I'd like to see her grow a little.
I caught up on several Harlequin Presents from my Kindle. My fave? "The Master Player" by Emma Darcy. Loved, loved, loved it.
I just had time to start Mira Lyn Kelly's book "Wild Fling or a Wedding Ring" last night. Will report on that in a few days.
